Julija Stoliarenko Submits Meatball Molly In The First Round :(

Damn. 

When I called Julija Stoliarenko an "armbar-or-bust" fighter before, I was really hoping the "bust" half of that would hit tonight. Not the "armbar" half.

Unfortunately, though, after a takedown and an exchange on the ground, Stoliarenko found the arm of Meatball Molly and pulled tight for the tap. She had one path to victory, and she took it early. Fair play to her.

This marks Molly's first loss in the O2, and second submission loss in a row - but I promise you, she'll be back. This isn't the end of her UFC run, and it isn't the end of our support for her. She's one of my favorite people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting through Barstool - a truly loyal friend who'd give you the shirt off her back - and I'll be cheering her on for as long as her career lasts.

Hopefully she's alright and escaped without any injuries, and maybe she can get back in there by the end of the year on the same card as Paddy or something.
